Bijnis is now Zorit

Building the future of offline commerce.

With the retailers and factories of Bharat. 15 darkstores. Factory stock at the counter in 60 minutes.

Before every app, there was the counter. Behind it stands someone who knows every customer by name and what the neighbourhood will ask for next. Zorit exists to put force behind that knowledge.

What we believe

Our story

Three truths we build on.

01

The strength is already there.

Knowing what to buy and how much. When to take a chance and when to hold back. That knowledge can’t be taught from outside the trade, so we start with respect.

02

The friction is in the supply.

Customers moved at internet speed. The supply behind the counter didn’t. Every stop through distributors, wholesalers and mandis added days, margin and guesswork.

03

Zorit is the multiplier.

A darkstore in the city, thousands of factories on the phone, stock at the counter in 60 minutes. The knowledge stays with the retailer. The power to act on it grows.

Why darkstores

From 5 retailers a pincode to 300.

A marketplace reaches a few shops in each pincode. A darkstore inside the city can serve almost every shop around it, within the hour.

As a marketplace~5 retailers per pincode
With a Zorit darkstore~300 retailers per pincode

Our journey

From marketplace to force.

Ten years of building, and the name that finally fits what we do.

2015

Bijnis begins in Agra.

A B2B marketplace connecting factories directly to retailers.

The marketplace years

Trust at scale.

600+ factories and 2 lakh+ retailers traded through Bijnis.

December 2024

A new company inside.

We rebuild around darkstores and owned inventory. Shops served per pincode rise from about 5 to about 300.

2026

15 darkstores.

15 darkstores deliver factory stock to shops in 60 minutes.

October 2026

Bijnis is now Zorit.

A new name for a new force. Same founders, same mission.

Why the name

Purpose first. Then the word.

We fixed the purpose before the name: empowering millions of retailers in the new age of commerce. Then we looked for a word that works like a catalyst, a power behind people who are already strong.

Zorit is that power, working both ways: pushing stock to the shop, and pulling the shop’s demand back to the factory.

The people

One chain of people. Every link matters.

“Retailers are empowered to serve faster and meet the growing needs of consumers. That’s the impact we are talking about.”
SVSidharth VijCo-founder, from his letter to stakeholders

Zorit is not a warehouse or an app. It is founders, a team, factories and shop owners, each one carrying the next. Tap a link.

2024the year we rebuilt

From a marketplace to a company that owns its inventory and runs darkstores. Few teams survive a rebuild like that.

15darkstores on the ground

Darkstores, riders and Zorit Traders, run by people who live in the cities they serve.

Stories from the ground

What changes inside a shop.

Retailers who once bought in bulk 2–3 times a month now place 60–70 smaller orders, buying close to what actually sells.

Before2–3 bulk orders a month

A trip to the market, a big order, money locked in cartons for weeks.

With Zorit60–70 small orders a month

Two or three orders a day, each close to what actually sold.
